Privacy policy

EPUREAU Côte d'Ivoire attaches importance to the protection of the personal data of the visitors to its site. This policy explains which data we collect, why, and what rights you have.

Data we collect

This site collects personal data only through its contact form. The fields concerned are:

• full name (required)
• email address (required)
• message (required)
• company, telephone number and subject of the request (optional)

The site uses no advertising cookie and no social network tracker. Merely browsing the pages does not give rise to any profiling.

News subscription

If you ask to receive our news, we keep your email address, your name if you provide it, the language chosen, the date of your request and the date of your confirmation.

The subscription is only recorded after you follow the link sent to that address — this is known as double opt-in. Without that click, nothing is kept beyond the request, and you receive no further message. This exists so that an address cannot be subscribed by someone else.

Every message contains an unsubscribe link, valid indefinitely. After unsubscribing, the record is kept together with its date: it is the proof that your request was honoured, and it allows us never to write to you again.

Audience measurement

The site measures its traffic using its own system, hosted on its own server. No data is passed to a third party, and no cookie is placed for this purpose.

The following are recorded: the page viewed, the display language, the domain name of the site that referred you — never the full address, which could contain a search query —, the device type (desktop, mobile, tablet) and the actions performed (quote request, complaint, job application, brochure download, click on WhatsApp, on the phone number or on a social network).

To tell two visitors apart without identifying them, the site computes a daily fingerprint from your IP address and browser, combined with a random value that changes every day. Neither your IP address nor your browser is kept, and the previous day's random value is destroyed: it then becomes impossible, including for us, to link two days of visits or to trace them back to you. These measurements are kept for 400 days, then deleted.

If your browser sends the Do Not Track signal, no measurement is recorded.

Purpose and legal basis

The data is used solely to process your request (quotation, information, other enquiry) and to reply to you. It is never used for prospecting unrelated to your request, and is never sold or transferred to third parties for commercial purposes.

Recipients

Requests are sent by email to the EPUREAU Côte d'Ivoire team in charge of follow-up (epureau@, jd.bogui@ and h.sanogo@epureau-ci.com) and are recorded on the site's server so that no request is lost. Access is restricted to authorised staff.

Retention period

Requests are kept for the time needed to process them and to maintain the commercial relationship, and at most three years from the last contact, unless a longer legal obligation applies.

Cookies

The site places a single cookie, strictly necessary for it to work: a session cookie which stores your language choice (French or English). It contains no identifying information and expires when you close your browser.

Audience measurement places no cookie and keeps no identifier on your device. That is why this site does not impose a cookie consent banner on you.

The Google Maps map embedded on the contact page is served by Google, which may place its own cookies. This service is governed by Google's privacy policy.

Security

The site is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Stored requests are not accessible from the web.

Your rights

You have a right of access, rectification, objection and erasure of your data. To exercise it, write to epureau@epureau-ci.com, stating your request. In Côte d'Ivoire, you may also refer the matter to the Autorité de Régulation des Télécommunications/TIC de Côte d'Ivoire (ARTCI).
